Does a Trijicon SRO fit an RMR cut?
Mostly. The SRO uses the RMR footprint, but Trijicon requires a mounting kit on Glock MOS, Springfield OSP, Walther PDP and HK VP9.
The SRO uses the Trijicon RMR footprint, so most slide cuts and adapter plates made for an RMR take an SRO. Most, not all — and the exceptions come from Trijicon itself. Its SRO product page states that mounting on a Glock MOS, Springfield OSP, Walther PDP, or H&K VP9 Optics Ready requires an SRO mounting kit, part AC32085. Those are four of the most common optics-ready pistols sold, so check before assuming a straight swap.
That qualifier is about the window, not the mount. The SRO has a much taller, rounder window than an RMR, and it sits further forward in the aperture. On a pistol with tall suppressor-height sights, a compensator, or a front sight that clears an RMR by a small margin, the SRO body can foul on it. The screws will still line up; the sight picture is what suffers.
| SRO footprint | Trijicon RMR |
|---|---|
| Front locating socket spacing | About 22.5 mm (0.89 in) |
| Mounting screws | #6-32, supplied in two lengths with the optic |
| Needs Trijicon kit AC32085 | Glock MOS, Springfield OSP, Walther PDP, HK VP9 Optics Ready |
| What else to check | Clearance forward of the optic |
Caution: The RMR footprint is not the same as the RMRcc footprint, despite the name. An RMRcc is cut for a smaller pattern and an SRO will not mount to it. Screw length matters as much as pattern: the optic ships in two lengths, and one too long bottoms out or intrudes into the slide.

- Will a Holosun 507K fit a Glock 43X MOS?Usually not without an adapter plate. The screws line up, but the factory cut has four locating posts and a Holosun K optic only clears two.
- What red dot fits a SIG P365 without an adapter plate?Anything cut for the Shield RMSc footprint. The optic-ready P365 slide is milled for it, so RMSc-pattern sights mount straight on.
